This is a rustic steel sign that is cut into Corten steel (304 grade). This is known as "rusty steel," Corten steel or weathering steel and gives a strong "industrial look" to your sign. Our standard thickness is 1.5mm thickness, Corten Steel though we can offer 2mm thickness. We can produce signs up to 8 foot x 4 foot (2440mm x 1220mm) so please please contact us if another size is required.
Your chosen wording / design will be cut into the steel. We can also offer other sign aspects (see main image) including powder coated steel panels, wooden panels or vinyl graphics.
When supplying artwork please note that vector artwork is preferred, saved as an Adobe Illustrator AI, EPS or Corel Draw file. Please ensure that all fonts are outlined or supplied (PC format true type or post script). If the artwork is not supplied in the correct format a £25.00 plus VAT set up charge maybe applied to the first order. Artwork set up is FREE for orders over £150.00 plus VAT.
Colour - these signs are designed to rust from an initial light rust colour that we start for you (as shown in the images on the listing). Once you have positioned your sign outside, the rust reaction will continue and the Corten sign will rust further. The colour and the patina will change and reach a rich dark umber colour (this takes 6 to 12 months depending on local weather conditions). This is the nature of this steel.
